In August of 2019 I was searching a hashtag on instagram that was related to rare diseases and up popped RARE. A brand dedicated to raising awareness for rare diseases and invisible struggles. I reached out to Kristine, the CEO asking her if she was interested in having me influence her brand for her. I am very selective when it comes to influencing and only like to influence for brands that have meaning for me, or brands that I love. Rare disease holds a special place in my heart because of Owen, so I knew immediately that I wanted to be involved in her brand. We began to speak often and started coming up with different products for the BWS community.
In early January during a phone call with each other she asked me to be her partner. I immediately without hesitation accepted despite the fact that we have never met each other! Together we are creating a brand and a community for people to have an outlet to use their voice. Not only do we raise awareness for rare disease we also are dedicated to giving back to the community by donating 15% of every sale towards a non-profit of our customers choosing at checkout. Together we hope to advance conversations and research in rare disease.
